                                                              Great Hall, The Arts & Letters Club of Toronto, 14 Elm Street

                                                              Open to the public for a reception, Sunday, September 12, 1:00 to 4:00 pm;

                                                              brief presentations at 2:00 and 3:00; light refreshments, cash bar

 

                                                              This series explores the interplay of regularity and variation, of

                                                              rigidity (the grids that surround us) and softness. Each painting is based

                                                              on a phrase written by the artist. These words form an integral part of the

                                                              image; the phrase and the image become a meditative whole.

 

                                                              Materials include watercolour, acrylic mediums, and permanent markers

                                                              (some smudgy, some not). applied in several layers on watercolour paper. The

                                                              paintings are 30" x 22" and smaller. See images.
